It is never safe to carry huge amounts of cash with you in Kenya, and Modern Coast bus has introduced online booking and payment using mobile money service Mpesa. Modern Coast online booking is faster, more convenient and has the option of using Visa and MasterCard in addition to the popular Safaricom Mpesa.

Modern Coast Bus Deals

You can cancel a Modern Coast bus ticket at anytime at least 3 hours from the departure time of a bus. Simply visit any of their branches or call their customer care using the following numbers: +254 705 700 888 or +254 737 940 000. The customer care staff will help you change the travel arrangements.

After receiving your ticket via e-mail, SMS or at the various Modern Coast Bus offices, you should carry the ticket together with your national ID card or passport for identification purposes during the journey. If you have the ticket number but have misplaced the actual ticket, they will print another ticket for you at your request.

Pay Modern Coast Tickets with Mpesa

Mpesa is now available in Tanzania. Vodacom Tanzania works like the Kenyan Mpesa, and one can now book Modern Coast bus tickets online and pay using Vodacom Tanzania MPESA. Mobile payment is not currently available in Uganda.
